French Country Committee

Our work combines community-building, communication, and outreach. We create opportunities to meet and exchange, help French speakers stay informed about TYPO3, and represent the project within the wider French PHP and open-source communities.

What We Do

• Organize a monthly online Apéro TYPO3 on Jitsi: https://meet.jit.si/TYPO3P%C3%89RO every first Thursday of the month at 19:00 CEST, providing an informal space to meet, exchange ideas, and discuss TYPO3.
• Represent TYPO3 at French PHP events, including the Forum PHP, and build connections with the wider PHP community.
• Translate and localize content for the French version of typo3.com, helping French-speaking audiences access TYPO3 news and information.
• Manage French-language social media communications to share news, community activities, and opportunities to get involved.
• Connect TYPO3 agencies, freelancers, users, and people considering TYPO3 for their projects.
• Encourage community members to share their experience through articles, event announcements, and other French-language content.

Highlights So Far

• The French version of typo3.com brings TYPO3 information and news to French-speaking audiences.
• The committee has represented TYPO3 at French PHP events, including AFUP Day in Poitiers.
• Monthly online Apéro TYPO3 sessions give the community a regular opportunity to meet and exchange.

Working With the French Committee

The French Committee welcomes everyone interested in TYPO3 in France: agencies, freelancers, users, and contributors. You can join an Apéro TYPO3, take part in an event, contribute French-language content, or help us share TYPO3 with the wider PHP and open-source communities.

If you would like to get involved, get in touch with the committee through its official community TYPO3 slack channel #community-fr.
