Dutch Country Committee

The TYPO3 Dutch Committee fosters the adoption of TYPO3 in the Dutch market. We bring together Dutch agencies, freelancers, and end users to share knowledge, increase the visibility of TYPO3, and support (potential) customers — in both the public and private sector — in choosing sustainable, open-source web technology.

Our mission goes beyond promoting a CMS. Digital sovereignty, accessibility (WCAG), security, and compliance with European regulations such as the AI Act are increasingly important for Dutch organizations. Open-source software like TYPO3 offers a strong answer to these challenges, and we want to make that case visible and tangible in the Dutch market.

Through collaboration between Dutch TYPO3 agencies and the wider community, we aim to build a recognizable Dutch TYPO3 platform: a place where newcomers can get started, existing users can exchange experiences, and decision-makers can find reliable information in their own language.

Current Activities

The committee is active in the following areas:

• Organizing regular online TYPO3 meetups for the Dutch community, along two tracks:
  • Technical sessions for developers and existing users (quarterly), covering topics such as TYPO3 releases, upgrade paths, and content management best practices
  • Introduction sessions for (potential) new customers and decision-makers, around themes like frontend editing, security, and digital sovereignty
• Translating and localizing TYPO3 content for the Dutch market, including pages on typo3.com/nl
• Increasing the visibility of TYPO3 in the Netherlands through LinkedIn, talk.typo3.org, and Dutch-language articles and news
• Connecting Dutch agencies and freelancers, and supporting collaboration on shared challenges
• Acting as a liaison between the Dutch market and the TYPO3 Association and TYPO3 Company, including input on product strategy for the Dutch market

Highlights So Far

• Garage sessie (February 2026) Online TYPO3 community session (May 2026) with strong turnout and engagement
• Dutch translations of key typo3.com landing pages
• Presence at Dutch (open source) events such as WebCamp Venlo
